Zyagen offers paraffin sections of many regions/areas of mouse brain in coronal, sagittal, and horizontal orientations.

Brains are fixed in 10% buffered formalin, embedded in paraffin, sectioned at a thickness of 5-7microns and mounted on

positively charged slides.  Paraffin sections of brains from mice perifused with 4% paraformaldehyde or buffered formalin

are also available upon request, contact technical service for availabilty.

Tissue sections are routinely made of CD1 and c57BL/6 mouse brains but we can also make tissue sections of other

mouse strains (inbred, outbred, mutant, hybrid, transgenic) upon request..

Paraffin sections are shipped in tightly closed slide boxes or slide mailers at room temperature and are good for one year

if properly stored.

Applications :

Paraffin tissue sections are prepared in RNase-, protease-free environment and are ideal for immunohistochemistry and in

situ hybridization.

Mouse Brain Paraffin Sagittal Sections

Zyagen offer paraffin sagittal sections containing most mouse brain major regions from olfactory bulb to cerebellum.

Brains are fixed in 10% neutral buffered formalin, processed for paraffin embedding, sectioned in sagittal orientation at the

medline at a thickness of 5 microns, and sections mounted on positively charged slides. Each slide contains 2-3 sections.

Paraffin sections are shipped in tightly closed slide boxes or slide mailers at room temperature. Brain paraffin sagittal

sections of mice perifused with 4% paraformeldehyde are also available upon request. Sections are made under RNase and

protease-free conditions and are ideal for immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization.

 

 

 

Mouse Brain Paraffin Horizontal Sections

Zyagen offer paraffin horizontal sections containing most mouse brain major regions from olfactory bulb to cerebellum.

Brains are fixed in 10% neutral buffered formalin, procesed for paraffin embedding, sectioned in horizontal orientation at a

thickness of 5 microns, and sections mounted on positively charged slides. Each slide contains 2-3 sections. Paraffin

sections are shipped in tightly closed slide boxes or slide mailers at room temperature. Brain paraffin horizontal sections of

mice perifused with 4% paraformeldehyde are also available upon request. Sections are made under RNase and protease-

cords are fixed in 10% neutral buffered formalin, processed for paraffin embedding, sectioned in coronal orientation at a

thickness of 5 microns, and sections mounted on positively charged slides. Each slide contains 2-3 sections. Paraffin

sections are shipped in tightly closed slide boxes or slide mailers at room temperature. Spinal cord paraffin coronal

sections of mice perifused with 4% paraformeldehyde are also available upon request. Spinal cord paraffin sections are

made under RNase- and protease-free conditions and are ideal for immunohistocheemistry and in situ hybridization.
