Poly(ADP-Ribose)(pADPr)은 poly(ADP-Ribose) polymerase(PARP)에 의해 합성되고, NAD +를 기질로 histone 등의 핵 단백질에 부가되는 polymer로서, 염색질 구조의 제어와 DNA 복구에 관여하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
일반적으로 pADPr는 세포 내에서 낮은 수준이지만, 방사선이나 알킬화제에 의해 DNA가 손상을 받으면 그 수준이 급격히
상승합니다.

This mouse monoclonal antibody, clone 10H, recognizes poly(ADP-ribose). It was developed and originally described by H.
Kawamitsu et al. (1984) Biochemistry23, 3771. Poly(ADP-ribose) is a polymer synthesized by a class of enzymes named
poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP). Using NAD+ as substrate, PARP catalyzes the formation of the polymer pADPr, with
chain lengths ranging from 2 to 300 residues, containing approximately 2% branching in the chain. pADPr becomes
attached to nuclear proteins, and to PARP itself (automodification). Uses for the clone 10H monoclonal antibody has
been described extensively in the literature, and include Western blotting, immunostaining (see below), ELISA-based
PARP activity screen, and immunodot blot.
