Human Tendon Cells (Tenocytes)

Human Tendon Cell (HTendCs, cAP-0041) are isolated from the patellar or Achilles tendon from adult donors

and the cells are isolated by centrifugal force following enzymatic digestion. Cells are provided @ passage-2

in a frozen vial. Human Tendon Cell medium (cAP-40) is recommended for cell culture and these cells have

an average minimum population doubling levels > 8 when cultured following the detailed protocol described

below).

Characterization of the cells

The cells are confirmed positive for cell surface markers CD44, CD90, CD105 and negative for CD45, CD31.

HTendCs are tested negative for HIV-1, HBV, HCV, and mycoplasma.
